On June 7, 2018, the International Stability Operations Association (ISOA) recognized NCUS’s record of excellence in supporting stability operations around the globe with an ISOA Corporate Achievement Award. ISOA’s mission is to enhance the effectiveness of international stability operations through member engagement, networking, and advocacy.
The award was presented to NCUS at the ISOA Achievement Awards Dinner held at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC. It cited New Century’s outstanding work in stability operations, law enforcement and security capacity building efforts, support for human rights and philanthropic activities at the local and global levels.
NCUS President, Scott Jacobs, accepted the award on behalf of the organization saying, “the award reflects the dedicated and heroic efforts of NCUS personnel that are willing to serve in austere environments to support critical mission requirements.”
NCUS has been actively involved in stability operations since 2008, and has consistently delivered outstanding services. The award cited stability services provided over the past eight years to the Combined Security Transition Command-Afghanistan (CSTC-A).
NCUS is also pursuing a broad portfolio of law enforcement and security capacity building efforts across four continents with a concentration in Africa, Central America and Southeast Asia. Key programs include training and technical assistance across Africa for International Police Peacekeeping Operations Support (IPPOS), strategic consulting support to the Government of Honduras in defining and developing projects to support enhanced security, and a new program in Indonesia to identify key areas of capacity building needed to counter the serious threats posed by returning terrorists.
